2009 Sharp LCD Televisions
The International CES is the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow and 2009 looks set to be another exciting year in the TV market. Sharp announced a host of new releases in particular news of the world’s first LCD TV with a built-in Blu-ray player.
Screens are also getting larger with more choices with up to seven sizes available with the new models. There are models with 120Hz and Full 1080p enhanced contrast ratios. In addition greater response times can be enjoyed with the newest larger screen televisions in the new AQUOS series. There is also new slimline Sharp AQUOS TVs with special technology designed to bring the best out of video gaming.
Sharp Electronics is a global leader in the LCD market and are adding further models to their award winning AQUOS LCD televisions. Slim and compact HD-Ready 1080p televisions will be on offer in the 19 inch screen collection while larger super slim LCD TVs with 100Hz technology will be available in 32 inch and 37 inch screen sizes.

The 19 inch LCD AQUOS LC-19D1E is ideal as a bedroom tv, kitchen or study. This compact LCD TV also makes an ideal PC monitor and games console. Key features include HDMI and PC inputs, 7500:1 Dynamic contrast ratio, built in freeview, 1366×768 panel resolution, and 176 degree viewing angle. Cutting edge technology crammed into a choice of glossy colours: black, white and a gorgeous red finish in an ultra compact frame. Stands at just 36cms high including stand making it a perfect second monitor or TV.
Still selling well the XL8E series from Sharp is developed with 100Hz technology and has a HD Ready 1080p resolution producing smooth crystal clear images with amazing contrast even in fast moving scenes. . The XL8E range, available in 32″ and 37″ sizes, contains a host of features including Dynamic contrast ratios of 10,000:1, a response time of 6m/s and a built-in freeview digital tuner.

The DX Series-TVs with built-in Blu-ray disc
Sharp is leading the way with the DX Series of AQUOS LCD TVs. With the launch of the worlds first LCD TVs with built-in Blu-ray disc recorder brings an all in one technology and new home entertainment experience.
The DX Series launched in November 2008 in Japan but no launch date has been announced for the rest of the world so we will have to sit back and be patient. Anyone fed up with all the wires and boxes underneath their TV can look forward to the new DX series. There are a total of 16 models in this latest family from Sharp, including the different colour variations and sizes.
You will be able to enjoy watching TV, playing Blu-ray Discs and DVDs, and recording TV programs in HD on Blu-ray Disc with the latest DX range. The single remote control and single operating unit keeps things simple and has been made easier to use. Users can navigate the TV-viewing, disc-playing, recording, and pre-set record functions all with just one action.
The AQUOS DX Series models will be available in 26- to 52-inch screen sizes and include dual digital tuners. Screen sizes 37 inch and over will sport a full HD 1080p panel while the smaller sizes will offer a 720p native. The audio and visual quality is exceptional with the DX Series. It comes complete with Sharp’s 1-Bit digital amp to faithfully recreate original sounds and delivers smooth images full of depth and contrast.

Energy Saving LCD TVs
Sharp will be showing their green credentials this year with the release of new Series LCD TVs. Fans of the bigger screen won’t have to worry about the cost of their energy bills going up with the latest low power big screen TVs. Sharp will be uncovering new Aquos series in sizes 40, 46 and 52 inch models. sharp is committed to being a responsible manufacture of electronic products and to date is still the world’s only LCD TV producer to be awarded the EU commission Eco-label investing in technology to help reduce carbon emissions and increase the energy efficiency of their products.
Expect to see a 1080p panels with 120Hz refresh rate, plenty of HDMI inputs and latest ambient light sensor technology. DH77 series
The DH77 series start at the popular 32 inch screen size to an impressive 46 inch. This new offering from Sharp adds to its latest range of full HD LCD TVs with 100-hertz technology. The slimline green TV has an eco-energy button that allows you to activate the Energy Save Mode directly without having to navigate the menu.
